psyBNC for Windows

Latest Version: 1.0.2 beta 2

A version of psyBNC with modifications. Ported to Windows using Cygwin.

psyBNC is a proxy for IRC networks. It is a widely regarded product among IRC-focused hosting companies. While originally for unix-based systems, psyBNC has now been ported to Windows with a few small changes and additions to ensure stability in a Windows environment.

rndware psyBNC Server includes support for Windows Ident Server.

Also, the "partyline"-channel has been enabled in this release due to large amounts of user requests. Version 1.0.1 and up also features experimental IPv6 support. In version 1.0.2, the connection delay between clients has been set to 60 seconds to avoid throttling of connections by IRC servers.

rndware psyBNC Server is compatible with Windows 2000 and newer.

rndware psyBNC Server 1.0.2 beta

This version is basically the same as version 1.0.1, but with the connection delay raised to 60 seconds instead of 5 seconds the standard version uses. Some IRC networks require users to connect clients between a certain delay and throttles users if they connect too fast and therefore it can take hours for even a small number of clients to connect. Important note: you may have to re-add all users due to a new salt file.
